Quick Transcribe is committed to protecting your privacy. When you use our service, we may collect:
Files
We temporarily process the audio and video files you upload for transcription purposes. These files are:
- Processed using secure, industry-standard encryption
- Deleted from our servers immediately once processing is complete
- Never stored permanently or used for any purpose other than transcription
- Not accessible to any third parties
Account Information
Creating an account is optional - you can use Quick Transcribe as a guest without registering. If you do create a free account, we collect and store:
- Your email address (and, if you sign up with Google, the name and profile picture from your Google account)
- Your password, which is securely hashed by our authentication provider - we never see or store it in plain text
- Your credit balance and transaction history (credits granted, spent, and refunded)
This data is retained for as long as your account exists. Contact us if you'd like your account and its data deleted.
Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data to provide transcription services, which is necessary for the functionality of our service.
How We Use Information
We use collected information solely to:
- Provide transcription services
- Improve service quality and performance
- Ensure system security and prevent abuse
- Comply with legal obligations
Data Security
We implement appropriate security measures including:
- Encryption of data in transit and at rest
- Regular security audits and updates
- Limited access controls for processing systems
- Automatic data deletion after processing
Third-Party Services
We use third-party cloud infrastructure for AI processing. Your data may be processed on servers outside the EU during transcription.
Account authentication, credit balances, and transaction history are handled by Supabase, our database and authentication provider. If you sign in with Google, Google processes that authentication according to its own privacy policy.
Cookies and Tracking
We do not use cookies or tracking technologies. Embedded services (like BuyMeACoffee) may use their own cookies, which are subject to their respective privacy policies.
